Camp Richardson Cross Country Ski Center 

On the beach with 35 km's of groomed trails and additional marked trails venturing into Desolation Wilderness. Full moon guided tours, lodging/cross-country ski packages, group lessons and rentals. Cost $5. Off Hwy. 89 on the way to Emerald Bay, South Lake Tahoe, CA. 530-541-1801.
 

Bijou Community Park Cross Country Ski Center

Informal 4 km marked trail across Bijou Community Park. No trail fee, but no rental equipment or lessons are available. Take Hwy. 50 to Al Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe, CA.           530-542-6056.
